Pinch me!

Have I mentioned how much I love my job, how blessed I am, and that I’m convinced I’m dreaming?! Yesterday, I got to work with several local photographers from the Dayton, Ohio area. Owner of The Carrs Photography (and photog God) Michael Carr, set up a surprise photoshoot for about 10-11 others. The theme of the shoot was senior portraits, and the look was boho chic. Madi Perez of Kentucky, was our muse, and she worked it!

To achieve Madi’s Boho look:

HAIR: We used a large wand to get the waves; and then sprayed it with Aquage’s Sea Salt Texturizing Spray.  I teased it a little bit towards the mid shaft, and added a few braids!

Makeup: I prepped her lids with Urban Decay’s Eyeshadow Primer Potion (my fave!)
Then I went over the whole eye, lid and brow bone, with MAC’s Brulé. I then started on the lid with MAC’s Tempting and all that glitters. To pick up just a little more pigment, I used my Naked 2 palette’s Half Baked and Chopper.  For the inner crease, I started blending with MAC’s Haux and Soft Brown… The faded it out with Patina, Folie, and Espresso.
My go to lashes are Salon Perfect (from WALMART!!!) Demi wispies… The four pack! They are universal, and can be used on almost anyone! Duo lash glue in black is also a must!
I lined Madi’s top lid with MAC’s Fluidline in Blacktrack. I am obsessed with that stuff! My favorite cosmetic used for this shoot would have to be my Dior Crayon Kohl in white. I lined her lower lashline and tear duct with this… And it made everything pop! I then, carefully, swept Espresso right under it with a shader brush. The mascara was a classic… Maybelline’s Great Lash in Blackest Black! The brows were MAC’s eyebrow pencil in Spiked and Anastasia’s brown brow powder (not sure of name… Sorry!)

Face: First I prepped her with Smashbox’s Photo Finish Foundation Primer. I customized her shade with MAC’s Studio Sculpt Foundations in shades NW 15 and NC 35; and at the cheeks I added a little Stila’s Stay All Day Beauty Balm for a tiny glow. After contouring and highlighting with lighter and darker foundations, I used MAC’s Coppertone blush, and then contoured a little more with their matte bronzing powder.

Lips: I lined her pout with MAC’s Shock Value, and filled them in with their Pretty Please and Please me. To make sure I didn’t get too much of a sheen, I used a lip balm for moisture.

Here are the pics that the individual photogs took! For more information on each photog, email me at: [email protected]. Enjoy!
