FROSTED: Featured Vendor of the Week! Week 2

The wedding cake.  Something every bride has thought about to the finest detail… maybe even before he’s even asked for her hand in marriage? I have had the pleasure of meeting the owner, Melissa Clough of Frosted, a few times; as we are both vendors at Your Dream Day Cafe in the heart of Oakwood!  My belly, however, feels like it has known Melissa for ages! It is impossible to go to the office, and NOT indulge in a cupcake… or two!  The freshness, custom flavors, and just the appeal of the food is very enticing.  It literally looks like the food you see in commercials or magazines.  One word… PERFECTION! Melissa took some time to tell me a little bit about the company, her passion behind it all, and what’s in store for this upcoming bridal season.  So without further ado, I present to you: FROSTED!

January 2004

Who started the business?
I, Melissa, started the business.
Inspiration behind the concept?
We like to keep it simple, all products are made fresh to order and designed with the customer.
What services does Frosted offer?
We offer custom cakes, cupcakes and cake pops for weddings and all special occasions.  We also have a cupcake bar as well as cake and cupcake decorating parties.
What makes Frosted different?
We are a small family business, we take pride in providing each client with an excellent product with excellent customer service.
What’s new on the horizon?
We are looking forward to the upcoming season of bridal shows and weddings.  It is a honor to be part of such an important event in our couples’ lives.

Glamorous Weddings: Featured Vendor of the Week! Week 1

I am so excited to start this new feature on my blog/website!  I get a lot of love and support from other vendors, and thought, “How cool would it be to return the favor!?!?”  So without further ado, here is your featured vendor of the week!

When did Glamorous Weddings open?

 
Glamorous Weddings opened in August 2010. Our first clients were Ashley and Michael Meadors. 
 
  • Who started the business?
Michelle Miskell is the owner of Glamorous Weddings. Being “the planner’ for the family dinners and get together’s, coordinating a wedding just comes naturally. “I really pay attention to the details, that’s what matters most to my couples. They want the wedding to reflect who they are.”
  • Inspiration behind the concept?
 
We wanted to give couples a service they could afford. A lot of couples don’t view wedding planners a necessity until it’s too late. We wanted to show couples that by hiring a planner they can save hundreds because of the connections we have with other vendors. 
 
 
  • What services does Glamorous Weddings offer?
 
Glamorous Weddings offers 3 different packages for couples to choose from. 
 
For the D-I-Y Bride who just needs a coordinator to ensure the ceremony and reception run smoothly, our Day-Of package would be perfect.
If just the thought of planning a wedding has you stressed out, we have a package that takes care of all the planning for you!
We also offer al a carte services for those couples that just need some advice and planning direction.
 
  • What makes Glamorous Weddings different?
Weddings can be stressful and expensive. Our goal is not only make the planning process simple, but we help you get the most for your money. We don’t feel you should start off your marriage in debt, we can help you make your wedding look like a million bucks without spending it!
 
  • What’s new on the horizon?
2015 will be the year for the dresses! Off the shoulder, backless, and ballerina gowns are really going make a hit.
