When did Vertigo Catering open?
Vertigo Catering started in March of 2011. At the time it was more of a hobby, but has quickly grown into a full service catering operation.

Who started the business?
Chef Stephen is the Owner and Executive chef of Vertigo Catering. He is a 2008 graduate of the Midwest Culinary Institute at Cincinnati State, where he received his certification from the American Culinary Federation(ACF). Chef Stephen has served on the board of the American Culinary Federation of Greater Cincinnati (ACFGC) for the past 4 years as the Program Director and Sargent at Arms, and is very excited to have be elected as the chapter President for 2015-2016.
Inspiration behind the concept and how is it different from the competition?
The Concept behind Vertigo is to work closely with out clients to create a one of a kind menu that reflects the type event being held. Unlike a lot of our competition, we are able to come up with menu items that are client specific, rather than just what we offer on our menus. We network with some of the industries top caterers staying on top of trends, and bring them to the Cincinnati and Dayton Markets. In 2014 we were recognized as a finalist for a CATIE (Catered Arts Through Innovative Excellence) In the Category of Best New Food Concept. These awards are presented by the International Caterers Association, at the Annual Catersource Conference in Las Vegas, NV.

We are a Full service Catering Company. With our extensive network of industry professionals, we have the capabilities to do just about anything our clients ask for. We have done events for 2 up to 600, and love the uniqueness of each event. We can also work with our clients to help create custom branding for their events, as well as props and decorations.

What’s new on the horizon?
We are VERY excited to have announced that we will be opening Vertigo Café in the next couple of months! Vertigo Café will be located in the Main Branch of the Public Library of Cincinnati and Hamilton County. We will featuring our signature sandwiches and salads in a quick service environment.
